Privacy, plainly.
We collect as little as a working bookshop can, we never sell it, and you can have it deleted with one email. Details below.
1. What we collect
- If you join the list: your email address, when you joined, and which page you joined from.
- If you buy a guide (when sales open): your order is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your book and honor refunds. We never see or store your full card number.
- Analytics: we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits and see which pages matter. It doesn't identify you or follow you around the internet.
2. What we use it for
Delivering books you bought, sending the new-title emails you asked for, answering your messages, and honoring refunds. That's the list.
3. What we never do
We never sell or rent your information, and we don't send marketing on behalf of anyone else.
4. Who touches your data
Only the infrastructure that makes the shop work: our payment processor (Stripe), our hosting provider (Cloudflare), and our email systems. Each handles your data under its own privacy and security commitments.
5. Advertising (a heads-up for later)
When we begin advertising, our site may use advertising measurement tools such as the Meta Pixel to understand whether ads work. If and when that happens, this policy will be updated with the details first, and this section is your advance notice.
6. Your choices
- Leave the list: reply "unsubscribe" to any email, or write to hello@pillarandpage.com — you'll be removed promptly.
- Delete your data: email hello@pillarandpage.com and ask. We'll delete what we hold (order records may be retained where the law requires, e.g. tax records).
7. Contact
Privacy questions: hello@pillarandpage.com. A human reads it.
